Introductory Courses

We all have to start somewhere and when it comes to diving almost all of us did through the Open Water course. My focus may be on Technical Diving but I am qualified and happy to teach beginners all the way from Open Water up to the level of Dive Master. These course I teach through SSI, for further information on courses visit www.divessi.com.

TDI Nitrox Diver

TDI Nitrox Diver Course is an entry-level course for divers wishing to continue their diver education and utilize enriched air nitrox as a breathing gas to extend no decompression limits at depth. You will be certified to dive enriched air nitrox mixes up to 40% to enjoy longer bottom times on some of the Gili’s best deep sites such as Shark Point, Deep Turbo, Halik, Mirko’s and Simon’s.

TDI Sidemount Diver

TDI Side-mount is a technically focused course teaching the use of two primary side mounted cylinders. For the recreational diver this means redundant gas for increased safety, longer dives with increased gas quantity and greater streamlining. For technical divers side mount allows for diving in areas with limited access to twins and is ideal for divers interested in expanding their diving to overhead environments such as caves or wrecks.

TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver

The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 percent within your current certification level to a maximum depth of 40 metres/130 feet during dives that do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, this can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career. TDI Advanced Nitrox is also a must for SCR or CCR divers.

TDI Decompression Procedures Diver

Are you finding your no- decompression limits (NDLs) a limiting factor to dives? Do you have to ascend sooner than you would like? As sport divers, planned decompression is not something that we do or have been taught. The TDI Decompression Procedures Course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving. With a maximum operating depth of 45 metres/150 feet, this course is your first step beyond the normal sport diving limits.

Combined Advanced Nitrox & Decompression procedures

The TDI Decompression Procedures Course combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox course form the foundation of all other technical courses. After these two courses and some additional experience, the stage has been set for you to move onto additional technical levels. Combining these courses the diver will gain access to many of the Gili’s best Tech sites including the Japanese wreck and the deep walls (Tunang, Don Yeng)

TDI Extended Range Diver

The TDI Extended Range course provides training and experience required to competently utilize air for dives up to 55m / 180ft that requires staged decompression, utilizing Nitrox mixtures or oxygen during decompression. The objective of this course is to train divers in the proper techniques, equipment requirements, and hazards of deep air diving to a maximum of 55m / 180ft utilizing Nitrox mixtures or oxygen for staged decompression. This course is taught with each diver using 4 full size tank (S80 or larger) and is one of the more challenging courses in technical diving

TDI Technical DPV

The TDI Technical DPV course provides training in the use of Diver Propulsion Vehicles during technical dives to the divers current level of certification. The objective of the course is to train divers in safe DPV use and emergency procedures while using the DPV. We offer this course on the Suex XJ37, one of the most powerful DPVs on the market. With a top speed of 85m/min you can easily cruise through several dive sites in one dive effortlessly.

TDI SF2 eCCR Air Diluent Diver

The TDI Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) Air Diluent Diver Course is your first step into closed circuit rebreather diving and your first truly quiet dive experience!Using the latest technology in CCRs can maximize your gas supply and provide an optimum breathing gas for any depth by maintaining a constant partial pressure of oxygen. It’s like having a nitrox blending machine on your back!

TDI SF2 eCCR Air Diluent Decompression Procedures Diver

Are you an open circuit technical diver looking to cross over to the “silent” side? Or maybe you are a CCR Air Diluent Diver looking to progress to the next level? Either way, TDI’s CCR Air Diluent Decompression Course is the next step.Using the latest technology in CCR’s can maximize your gas supply and provide an optimum breathing gas for any depth by maintaining a constant partial pressure of oxygen. Like having a blending station on your back, a CCR is the ultimate tool for technical divers. During this course, you will learn all of the necessary skills to conduct decompression CCR dives to a maximum depth of 45 metres/150 feet using air diluent.
